Welcome to another month at Ettalong Beach Holiday Village. We are getting ready for the July School Holidays and have some great activities on for this period. Pop in to reception to grab your activity sheet to make sure you don’t miss out on anything or alternatively this is also available on our website www.ebhv.com.au
Ettalong Beach Village can now be found on FACEBOOK and we would love to get as many fans as possible. We currently have around 30 fans and know we can do better than this!!! Let’s show everyone how great this place is and get as many of your friends and family to become fans by visiting www.facebook.com/ettalong. We will be updating the page regularly so jump on and see what’s happening around the park.
We are very excited about our Christmas in July function on Saturday 10th July which is sure to be a great night. Bring your early Christmas cheer and get set for some great food, great company and of course some Christmas Carols!! This event is FREE for all park guests. We hope you enjoy your stay and don’t forgot to call in and see us if there’s anything we can do to make your stay with us a more memorable experience.

JOKE OF THE MONTH
Sheila walked into the kitchen to find Bruce stalking around with a fly swatter.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Hunting Flies" He responded.
"Oh. Killing any?" She asked.
"Yep, 3 males, 2 Females," he replied.
Intrigued, she asked. "How can you tell them apart?"
He responded, "3 were on a beer can, 2 were on the phone."

Markets
Stroll through Ettalong Seaside Village markets, the largest undercover markets on the Central Coast. Open every weekend – 9am to 4pm.

Brisbane Water National Park
Explore Brisbane Water National Park, one of the oldest in NSW, where you will find Aboriginal Engravings, Wildflowers, great bushwalks, bird watching and sightseeing. The National Park is located on 11,473 hectares. Park is accessible at all times – Located at Woy Woy Road, Kariong.

Bouddi National Park
This National Park is situated on 1532 hectares. It is one of the first National Parks in NSW where all marine life is protected. This Park also has a series of small beautiful beaches beneath the forest, steep hills and cliffs. The Park offers opportunities for fishing except in the Marine extension between Gerrin Point and Bombi Point. Located on Avoca Drive and Scenic Road, Gosford.

Winter Blues and Jazz Festival
The Entrance Winter Blues and Jazz festival will be held on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of July. This amazing event will be held at the beautiful seaside location of The Entrance. There will be FREE entertainment on the Memorial Park stage from various performers.

Australian Reptile Park
Visit the award winning zoo where you will discover unique exhibits such as “Lost world of Reptiles”, “Spider World” and “Frog Hollow”, along with loads of exciting daily interactive wildlife shows, including the only spider venom milking show in Australia. Hand feed the kangaroos, have a photo with a Koala and come and see the famous Elvis the largest salt water crocodile in NSW.

Central Coast Steam Model Co-Op Ltd
The Central Coast Steam Model Co-Op is a non profit organisation, and one of a number of miniature railways. They have a variety of almost 20 locomotives with several more nearing completion. It is a great place for a family day out with a picnic lunch.Cost is $2.50 per person over the age of 3 years to ride the trains.

Whale Watching – Crackneck Lookout
Whale watching has commenced Crackneck Lookout. A display trailer will be on view with interesting information about whales and many other Marine mammals. Whale presentations will be held from 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm each lasting around 20mins. It is recommended that those wishing to attend bring suitable sun/weather protection and binoculars. Crackneck lookout is the perfect place for a picnic while looking for the whales. Bookings are not required and this event is FREE.

Whale Watching – Fantasea Cruises
Come and join us for some adventure cruising and experience the amazing sights of seeing the whales up close in their natural environment. The first season of the year is when the whales are travelling north to warmer waters. The Fantasea Whale watching season lasts for around mid month of June to the first weeks in July.
The Whale watching journey picks up at Palm Beach at 8.30am and Ettalong beach at 9.00am. The duration of the cruise is 3 hours from Ettalong and 4 hours from Palm Beach. Light food and refreshments are available for sale, and complementary Morning tea is provided.

Caroline Bay Brasserie Café and Function Centre
Multi award winning Caroline Bay is centrally located in the unique beauty of Gosford Regional Gallery and Edogawa Japanese gardens. These gardens are gorgeous and a great place for Lunch, Morning/Afternoon tea, as they have a wide selection of homemade cakes etc. You can even feed the fish in the gardens!

The 5 Lands Walk
The 5 Lands Walk event for 2010 will take place on Saturday 3 July with nine kilometres of FREE cultural activities connecting the local Aboriginal and other ethnic communities between MacMasters Beach and Terrigal.The event brings together local artists, musicians, environmentalists, historians and the Aboriginal community, to provide a broad range of arts and cultural activities, including talks to explain the winter migration of humpback whales to their breeding grounds.
